We couldn’t be more excited to introduce you to our two new Effie’s flavors: Hazelnut and Gruyère biscuits!
The Gruyère Biscuit combines flavors of toasty oats, nutty cheese and a mild black pepper finish for a satisfying snack on its own or with a cold beer, delicious with a slice of sharp cheese or a spread of caramelized onion jam. By contrast, the Hazelnut Biscuits are a little bit sweet and a little bit salty with balanced flavors of oats, toasted hazelnuts and butter.

Our biscuits are inspired by Effie MacLellan and her generations-old recipe for Nova Scotia oatcakes–a treat that filled our childhood home with oohs, aahs, and yums. Too good to keep to ourselves, we expanded the family recipe so a new generation could experience these lovingly baked delights.
